ho ho ho.. just attended njcsb ETUDE XXXI .. actually, quite alot of people sia.. surely more than 800.. haha. well, i think their sound is clean.. though my seat is not the best.. Circle 2.. Flipped through the programme booklet.. hmm, why they print in black tones sia..looks like..=x well..
their repertoire seems quite serious. They played Final Fantasy Xtraavaganza, Armenian Dances Part Two, Scheherazade: The Story of The Kalandar Prince,Beauty and the Beast, Forrest Gump Suite and El Camino Real. The alumni band presented 2 pieces, The Wizard of Oz and Variations on a korean Folk Song. Stage band played a few songs too..
theres one thing i immediately notice when they started to play.. the 2 guys who played on suspended cymbals and crash cymbals were playing too soft. hmm, got irritated. feels weird. hahaha. maybe during sound check the conductor thinks that its too loud.. aiya, they should play louder if they notice something wrong.. wasted sia.
everytime when a song reaches climax, it ends with a *cling* sound. From where? the cymbals.. -.-"
overall.. not bad! =D
